Conrad enjoyed a superb year in 2014 as he tasted double gold medal success on the international scene. Having claimed relay glory at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, he repeated the feat at the European Championships in Zurich less than a month later. The latter took his medal tally to eight having also been part of the Great Britain teams that secured silver medals at the European Outdoor and European Indoor Championships on two occasions apiece and at the World Championships in 2009, as well as bronze at the Indoors in Doha in 2010. Conrad also picked up a bronze representing England in the relay at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
