A former world number one, Heather's crowning glory came when she won a Silver Medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, an achievement made even more remarkable by the fact that she had overcome a succession of injuries that threatened to bring her career to a premature halt. Having won a brace of gold medals and a silver at the World Junior Championships, Heather enjoyed a stellar international career, claiming 15 World Championship, European Championship and World Cup medals before retiring in January of 2014.
